Stonewood Development is a business focused on the security of data at rest. We have developed and supplied encryption products certified by UK, NATO and international accreditation organisations.

Our systems are resistant to many types of attacks including authentication (including dictionary and rainbow tables), cold boot and steal-twice attacks. The products typically include a wide variety of security features including physical component protection and tamper-evidence, encrypted keys, and manual or automated key and password purge processes that fully secure the system in case of crypto attack, accident, loss or overrun.

We are the only hardware encryption supplier to be CAPS approved by CESG for the storage of Top Secret data, and the only supplier to provide a product that reduces protective marking of Top Secret data by two levels when switched off. This reduces, for example, Top Secret data to Confidential, or Confidential data to Not Protectively Marked, which dramatically simplifies data handling and storage requirements for data at rest particularly in hostile environments.

Custom developments meeting your needs will be carried out by Stonewood engineers with appropriate levels of UK government security clearance. The design and development, and manufacture or assembly will be carried at our secure location in the UK. We have significant experience in working with CESG in the UK on the development of CAPS approved systems, with NIST in the US for FIPS, and with CSE-C in Canada and we are able to develop solutions meeting your required accreditation regime.
